The fourth meeting

SUN, WIND AND HYDRO ... - continued cooperation

The fourth meeting of the partner schools representatives within Comenius was held from March 23rd till March 28th , 2011 in Viseu, Portugal



Project teams from Italy, Greek, Polish, Portugal and Cyprus were present at the meeting. The Polish side was represented by the project involved students from Lukasiewicz Schools No. 1 in Gorlice: Anna Niemiec (class Id LO) and Halina Stepien (class IId LO), and teachers: Ewa Robak and. Piotr Tarczyński.



The project is devoted to a ponderable topic of renewable energy sources. The Polish team presented progress in the development of so-called. PV panel following the sun construction, which is to be located outside the school, and operated by students of technical classes from Schools No. 1 in Gorlice, supervised by Piotr Tarczyński, M. Sc.



After being welcomed at the partner school Escola Secundaria de Emidio Navarro, and in the City of Viseu, the group visited the Caramulo wind farm, a nearby car museum, and the village of S. Pedro do Sul, where the hot springs and geothermal resources are exploited.

SUN, WIND AND HYDRO... - THE LAST MEETING OF THE SCHOOLS PARTNERSHIP

The course of the fifth, final meeting of the Comenius partner schools: sun, wind and hydro: the future of mankind at Makedonitissas Gymnasium in Nicosia, Cyprus

• The official opening ceremony of the last meeting in Makedonitissas Gymnasium where each partner school presented their achievements within two years of the project
• The exhibition of models and prototypes of devices made by the host school: a model house with a roof covering in the form of photovoltaic panels, a solar-powered car
• Evaluation Meeting for the entire period of the project
• Visiting a factory of photovoltaic panels Enfoton and a heating systems factory Floga
• Visiting the Cyprus Museum in Nicosia
• Visiting the Green Line dividing the capital of Cyprus into two parts, of Greek and Turkish nationalities and which is, by the same time, the borderline of the European Union
• A trip to Paphos: Visiting the ancient fragments of buildings with historical mosaics dated from the second century BC to the fourth century AD
• Admiring the Paphos views of Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of Aphrodite

Solina i farmy wiatrowe

26 maja 2011 r. klasa IIaT oraz IIIcT zwiedzały elektrownię wodną na Sanie w Solinie. Mieliśmy możliwość obejrzeć film o zaporze oraz zwiedzić wnętrze zapory i poznać systemy kontrolowania stanu konstrukcji tamy oraz różnych rozwiązań budowlanych stosowanych przy tak ogromnej budowli. Na trasie przejeżdżaliśmy obok wielu farm wiatrowych i mogliśmy podziwiać olbrzymie wiatraki, na których uczniowie wzorowali swoje modele turbin.
